    About this station

    Operating a carriage-launched Mersey class lifeboat today, requiring shore helpers to launch the lifeboat, the station had the country’s last lady launchers. Dungeness lifeboat was also one of 19 lifeboats that took part in the evacuation of forces from Dunkirk.
